More than ever before, the Book Fair this year will be an opportunity for the trade to meet and to assess and analyse the trends in a constantly changing sector.

Friendly and festive, the Geneva Book Fair is a meeting-place where visitors from all generations can meet up with professionals over 5 days to exchange thoughts and ideas about their shared enthusiasm, listen to fascinating debates, as well as meeting the 500 authors who will be attending!

The Edinburgh International Book Festival began in 1983 and is now a key event in the August Festival season, celebrated annually in Scotland's capital city. Biennial at first, the Book Festival became a yearly celebration in 1997.

Throughout its history, the Book Festival has grown rapidly in size and scope to become the largest and most dynamic festival of its kind in the world. In its first year the Book Festival played host to just 30 'Meet the Author' events. Today, the Festival programmes over 700 events, which are enjoyed by people of all ages.

OPEN A NEW CHAPTER IN BUSINESS
The habit of reading is alive and well in Asia, with around 950,000 people turning out to see what publishers and distributors had to offer at the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair 2011. The new record is strong evidence that the written word, electronic or print, is more powerful than ever.

The 2012 Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center, Taipei Taiwan from February 1 to 6, 2012.
